The latest version of the Game Caddie, version 4.1.2, is now available. This update contains the following fixes, design changes, and improvements:
- The Clubs Boards were carefully proofed by multiple people to identify and correct shot result typos. In most cases, these would have gone unnoticed by the typical GC user and wouldn’t have significantly affected play. Nevertheless, the Club Boards are now believed to be 100% accurate.
- A bug that was preventing the CTRL + Q keyboard shortcut from working after using the Ball on Green tool or Place Ball at Location tool has been repaired.
- Caddie 1 is now fully operational. A coding error that was causing it to always use a Shotmaking rating of “C,” regardless of the actual rating has been fixed.
- Angus Links in the Course Import tool has now been proofed and updated.
- The Common W/I Chart on each Caddie tab now has a duplicate listing of all clubs in the far right column to improve readability. Note that only the club listing on the left has hotlinks to the Clubs Boards. Shading has also been added to make it more apparent that the clubs at top use the W column and the ones below use the I column on the player cards. The same coloring applies to clubs that can be knocked down (bottom) and those that can’t (top).
- Lastly, a link to this website was added to the About tab.
Thanks to all those GC users who helped identify problems, made suggestions for improvements, and collectively proofed a massive amount of content. Those folks include (in no particular order): Gary Prince, Mark Watt, Duane Gee, Dave Brown, Gilles Doré, Dan Jorgenson, Joel Register, Gilles Thibault, Ishmail66, and IDJESTER. Without your efforts, the many improvements contained in this update would not have been possible.
Anyone who is already on the GC email list will automatically receive this update. If you aren’t on it but would like to know more about the Game Caddie and how to get a free copy, please visit the About page.
