Master Game Rules for Beginners – (PDF) A situation-based summary of APBA Golf Master Game rules I created and used to learn how to play it. Doesn’t cover everything, but it will get you well on your way. Uploaded on 3/16/2022.
Lie Adjustments and Restrictions – (JPG) Shows shot and club restrictions for many different types of lies encountered in the APBA Golf Master Game. Uploaded on 3/16/2022.
APBA Club Board Tendencies – (PDF) Shows Left/Right shot tendencies based on lie and the effects of Knock-down shots on carry distances. Formatted so that it can be printed on a blank APBA Golf card, if desired. Uploaded on 3/19/2022.
Chipping Tool – (JPG) Also known as the Approach Caddie Assistant. A chart that can help you estimate where Approach shots will go based on lie and the player’s Average I. See the post by its creator, ishmail66, to learn how it works. Starting with GC 5.0, this chart can be accessed from the All in One Menu by checking the box labeled Approaches. Club Maximums – (JPG) A chart from the Game Caddie All in One Menu that displays each club’s restrictions for working-the-ball (WTB) and tree clearance (TC) based on lie. Uploaded on 3/25/2022.
Scott’s GCRB Database – (XLSX) Contains all my Game Caddie Record Book round stats in Excel format. Because I added three stat categories after data collection began, there is some missing data for MaxOfTotalPuttDistance, MaxOfLongPutt, MaxOfAvgDriveDistance, and MaxOfAvgDriveDistance2. This is a large file by Excel standards. As such, you may need to download the file to view it. If you analyze this data, I would be delighted if you share the findings with me. Lateral Movement Estimator – (JPG) A table that shows you how much lateral movement is possible with each club for “Good” shots and “Miss” hits. See the post by its creator, ishmail66, for details. Uploaded on 4/10/2022.
Bluegrass7 Shot Locator Tool – (XLSX) An Excel spreadsheet that converts Red CL locations to Black CL locations for Bluegrass hole #7. Instructions can be found here. Uploaded on 4/29/2022. A related post discusses how to play this hole using the Game Caddie.
Putting Probability Tool – (XLSX) An Excel spreadsheet that calculates the likelihood of making putts from all distances using the regular APBA Putting boards. It also calculates the likelihood of 3-putting (or worse) from each column distance greater than 19 feet. The tool comes with the results for all 144 golfers from the original All-Time Greats set. You can add as many golfers as you like. More information can be found here. Uploaded 12/15/2022 (v.1.006). Putting Probability Tool for Major Championships – (XLSX) An Excel spreadsheet that calculates the likelihood of making putts from all distances using the Major Championship Putting boards. It also calculates the likelihood of 3-putting (or worse) from each column greater than 14 feet. The tool comes with the results for seven golfers from the 2022 season card set.
